Description

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a precursor for the amino acid L-cysteine which may help the body to produce more of the potent antioxidant glutathione that it otherwise would.

Benefits

  • SUPPORTS LIVER AND LUNG HEALTH - NAC has been found to be beneficial to liver and lung health.*
  • RAISES GLUTATHIONE LEVELS - NAC is converted to cysteine by the liver, which it then uses to produce the potent antioxidant Glutathione.*

MADE IN THE USA - N-Acetyl Cysteine supplement is made in the USA at a cGMP certified facility.

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a precursor for the amino acid L-cysteine which when taken orally may help the body to produce more of the potent antioxidant glutathione that it otherwise would. By raising glutathione levels NAC provides antioxidant effects and similar benefits to taking bioavailable glutathione supplements.

In addition to its ability to raise the body’s production of glutathione, NAC also supports healthy liver, lung, and kidney function and may support healthy immune system functioning.*

Third party tested for purity.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended dosage for N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is two 500 mg capsules per day for a total daily dose of 1000 mg. For a more potent effect this dosage can be increased to 4 capsules per day (2000 mg), but we do not recommend exceeding 4 capsules per day. NAC is best taken on an empty stomach for proper absorption.

N-Acetyl Cysteine Side Effects

N-Acetyl Cysteine is very well tolerated and side effects are unlikely at normal doses, but when taken at high doses side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation are sometimes experienced.

NAC may be dangerous for people with bleeding disorders or taking blood thinning medications as it may slow blood clotting. We recommend avoiding NAC if you’re taking blood thinners or have any bleeding disorders such as hemophilia.
