Many times, I have patients asking me for preventative wellness solutions and oftentimes I think as experts, we go to what we know. So, stress management, sleeping better, and getting a lot of variety in the diet are top suggestions. But today, I’m going to share with you three things that you perhaps don’t know:

If you haven’t read the book The Blue Zones, you should check it out. It’s such a great depiction of how you can live long, but not just long, but live well.

Community is all about being social, having a tribe… having people you could talk to and connect with for support.

Next is purpose in life… knowing, “Why am I on this earth, why am I here? What am I supposed to accomplish while I’m here?” and using that as a compass to move towards.

Lastly, we have found in the blue zones that Sun has made a really huge difference on people’s outlook on life, their health, and really is key to looking at that that perfect preventative wellness solution that we’re always searching for.

So, yes, you want to sleep well, manage stress, eat right all of it’s important. But don’t forget about these three things that you may not have thought of before.
