Babies are all about added comfort and safety. Simply put, babies tend to cry more when they're uncomfortable. Airflow under the baby allows heat to dissipate more efficiently, helping regulate temperature for less sweaty backs. According to airflow tests, breathability may also increase safety by allowing air to flow more freely around the baby.
How the Cover Works
The breathable cover features a soft organic cotton surface and a 3-dimensional polyester lattice structure that allows air to flow through the fabric and under the baby for 360° air circulation. Since air is able to pass freely through the cover’s 3D structure, babies can breathe right through it!
Practical Design
The breathable function is encapsulated in a washable cover that completely hugs the mattress. This removable layer has a waterproof backing that keeps the mattress clean and protected from urine, spit-up, and other messes. In the event of an accident, simply replace with a spare cover or put the baby back to sleep on the fully functional underlying mattress. The cover can then be machine washed and dried at your convenience.
Firm Support
The Organic Breathable 2-Stage Crib Mattress follows CPSC and pediatrician recommendations for firm support and a snug fit so your baby gets the firm, flat surface that's recommended for safer sleep. It also features reinforced edges for toddlers who like to jump!

It has a natural crimp that gives it bounce, body, and soft support characteristics. PLA is a high-performance synthetic fiber made from non-GMO sugarcane that adds resiliency and improved moisture wicking. PLA is plant-based and is used in a variety of industries, including food packaging and medical supplies and does not contain or off-gas harmful chemicals.
Glueless encased support coils! Encased coils are individually wrapped for full body-contouring comfort, isolation of movement, and balanced support for proper postural alignment. Also features full perimeter edge support. Provides just the right amount of bounce while adding excellent breathability and heat dissipation characteristics. How will my mattress arrive?
The mattress ships compressed and roll-packed for quick and easy delivery and setup. While all Naturepedic shipmentes (including all mattress sizes) typically use FedEx/UPS Ground, foundations and other considerations may make freight delivery necessary. The freight company will typically call to schedule a time frame for delivery. The driver will remove the package from the truck and leave it on the curb. There is no extra charge for this delivery method.

Damaged shipping policy
Any products damaged in transit will be replaced at our expense. For products that require a signature, the shipment must either be refused (for severe damage) or clearly marked as damaged on the delivery receipt when you sign for the shipment. The Swell Score must be notified within 72 hours in order to file a claim. Without marking the delivery receipt, we will have no recourse with the freight carriers.
Orders refused on delivery
If you refuse your order upon delivery (for reasons other than damage), you will be responsible for the actual outbound shipping cost (including promotional shipping) and any return shipping costs. If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us immediately before the item is shipped.
